diet & IMPORTANCE to the great barrier reef
Humbhead Wrasses feed on molluscs, starfish and crustaceans. They even eat Crown Of Thorns Starfish.
life span
Humbhead Wrasses can leach 30 years old.
threats
The Humbhead Wrasse is endangered because of overishing and in south east asia they are a delicacy. But they will prefer juvenile fish.
CONserVATION
WWF helped to stop the export of this important fish. Since 2010, over 860 humphead wrasse have been released back into the wild!
